Phybridge, a forerunner in the technology of two wire networking, has said that its PoLRE data switches portfolio will be distributed through Avaya, the business communication and collaboration solutions provider. They will be available through the firm’s Select Product program.
The program enables a streamlined order process for customers wishing to order third-party apps compatible with Avaya.
Phybridge Executive Vice President Steven Fair told Telecom Reseller:
“As a DevConnect Innovation Award winner for 2012, we are excited to be part of the Avaya ecosystem and expand our relationship through the Select Product Program (SPP). As an example of the kind of combined customer value between our companies: using a Phybridge backbone, we saved an Avaya IP Telephony customer over $1.5 million dollars, fast tracked their migration by six months and completed the cutover in a single weekend. We believe many other Avaya TDM customers considering migration to IP Telephony can experience similar results.”
The switches have gone through compliance-testing to ensure they are compatible with Avaya IP Office, Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Avaya Communication Server 1000.
The switches deliver power and Ethernet over one pair of telephony grade wires that have a reach four times that of a traditional data switch. Companies are leveraging existing, efficient voice infrastructure in order to create an additional network path to be utilised for voice communication. This will complement a current date network and optimise the IT infrastructure employed for data and voice convergence. The switches have been designed to cope with a business’s current or potential real-time voice needs.
Organisations can easily purchase Phybridge’s PoLRE switches through Avaya and channel partners. Specific capabilities can be added to the current Avaya platform. Alternatively, customers can purchase a full Avaya-based communication solution that integrates PoLRE switches.
