Aastra has been identified by Info-Tech Research Group as a leading firm at the front of the commercial communications market. This comes after the group’s Vendor Landscape research into the unified communications and IP telephony markets.
Independent researchers, in the assessment of 12 UC/IPT market vendors, pointed out the strong dedication that Aastra has shown in commercial communications, as well as its UC/IPT solutions portfolio. It complimented Aastra on its flexi-deployment options, strong collaboration focus and well-rounded Unified Communications suite.
To assist business and IT decision-makers in choosing the appropriate solutions, Info-Tech Research Group evaluated products by assessing their architecture, affordability, usability and features. It also looked at vendors for channel strength and strategy, reach strategy and viability.
According to researchers, the rating of ‘Champion’ is given to vendors which have high grades for most of the criteria and provide excellent value. Furthermore, they must possess a strong presence in the market and are typically industry trendsetters.
Aastra were given high scores consistently for vendor and product ratings. The company’s North American regional president, Tim Whittington, commented:
“Over the last few years, Aastra has grown to be a major player in business communications, with products such as our MX-ONE now sold in over one hundred countries. Info-Tech Research Group’s report provides us with a strong external endorsement and we are delighted that, following their in-depth analysis, they have named Aastra as a Champion.”
He went on to say that the aim has been to offer competitive UCC for companies, with a decent balance of cost and features. The UC and IPT report demonstrates that the company is meeting its delivery objectives.
