Packnet have moved into our new offices at Ducie House in central Manchester. It’s taken a little while to get everything into working order but we are all pleased with our new home for the coming years.
It took us a little while to choose this new office and to move away from Manchester Science Park after a total of almost 10 years it’s still feeling a little strange for all of us.
But once we had found this new location and all the staff had looked at it, it’s fair to say we have all been very excited by the prospect of moving into the city centre, or the edge of the Northern Quarter to give it the fashionable location.
Our new home is an Urbansplash development, in fact the first Urbansplash development and we felt it was important to link up with a North West company to secure our new home. Urbansplash have made the move very easy and for that we thank them.
Some things about Ducie house that you may be interested in. Originally the building was a Victorian petticoat factory and was refurbished in 1993 to office and retail space. The building has close links with Manchester’s Design and music industries. Artists include Ear to the Ground, DJ, A Guy Called Gerald, Mancunian legends 808 State as well as Simply Red and music producer John Drape, have all occupied space at the building. Rumour has it that it’s also the initial meeting place of Belle and Sebastian.
Packnet are proud to be part of this creative legacy as Manchester’s major Business VoIP Provider.
